Who we are

WalkReady is operated by Openroad Apps LLC (“we,” “us,” or “WalkReady”), a limited liability company registered in the State of Oregon. These terms govern your use of the WalkReady mobile app and walkready.app website.

The app is provided “as-is”

WalkReady is provided as-is. We don't guarantee the app will meet your specific expectations, work without errors, or be available all the time. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise perfection.

This is not medical advice

WalkReady is not a medical device, and it doesn't offer medical advice or diagnosis. The app is a walking tracker, nothing more.

Please consult a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you're recovering from surgery or illness, managing a chronic condition, or have any concerns about your fitness or safety.

The Clinician PDF Report feature is provided as a convenience for sharing your walk data with healthcare providers. It is not a diagnostic tool and should not be the sole basis for any medical decision.

Your safety is your responsibility

You're responsible for:

• • Choosing safe walking routes
• • Wearing appropriate clothing and footwear
• • Carrying your phone and identification
• • Staying within your physical limits
• • Listening to your body and stopping if you feel pain or discomfort
• • Following all local laws and regulations during your walks

The “halfway cue” tells you when to turn around. It's a suggestion based on your selected goal. You can ignore it, walk further, or stop earlier if your body tells you to.

Limitations of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Openroad Apps LLC and its members, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of WalkReady, including but not limited to:

• • Physical injury during or after walks
• • Loss of data
• • Service interruptions
• • Reliance on information provided by the app
• • Any consequences of using the Clinician PDF Report or any other WalkReady feature

In all cases, our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid for WalkReady Plus in the 12 months preceding any claim.

WalkReady Plus subscription terms

WalkReady offers an optional paid subscription called WalkReady Plus.

• • Pricing: WalkReady Plus is $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year. Prices may change with notice. Local taxes may apply.
• • Auto-renewal: WalkReady Plus subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
• • Restore purchases: If you reinstall the app or change devices, you can restore your active subscription within the app.
• • Trial periods: We don't currently offer free trials. The free tier of WalkReady provides the core walking app at no cost.
• • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by WalkReady. Please contact the respective store for refund inquiries.
• • Feature changes: WalkReady Plus features may be added, modified, or removed over time. We'll communicate significant changes in advance when possible.

Walking Buddies and content you share

The Walking Buddies feature lets you share your walking activity with friends and family you've connected with via pairing codes.

You're responsible for what you share through this feature. By using Walking Buddies, you agree that:

• • You won't use the feature to harass, bully, or stalk others
• • You won't share inappropriate, illegal, or threatening content
• • You won't impersonate someone else's identity
• • You'll respect your buddies' privacy and follow our community standards

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these rules.

User accounts

If you create a WalkReady account:

• • You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• • You agree to provide accurate information when signing up
• • You agree not to share your account with others
• • You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Data and privacy

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using WalkReady, you agree to the practices described there.

Intellectual property

WalkReady and its design, code, brand, and content are the property of Openroad Apps LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the app or its content without permission.

User feedback you provide to us (suggestions, ideas, etc.) may be used to improve the app without compensation to you.

Third-party services

WalkReady integrates with third-party services including Apple App Store, Google Play, Apple Health, Google Fit / Health Connect, Supabase, RevenueCat, Expo, PostHog, and Sentry. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to WalkReady at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms. You can stop using WalkReady at any time by uninstalling the app. If you have a WalkReady Plus subscription, cancellation must be done through Apple App Store or Google Play.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app or via email if you have an account. Continued use of WalkReady after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Oregon, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court if eligible.

You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions, to the extent permitted by law.
